National Consortium of Academic Nurse Educators, Inc.

Advocacy

The mission of the National Consortium of Academic Nurse Educations, Inc. (NC-ANE) is to advocate for academic nurse educators as advanced practice nurses, who are competent in their specialty, through research endeavors and collaboration with other professional organizations and partnerships with various stakeholders.

Contact your policymaker

In order to realize this mission, it is the responsibility of each NC-ANE member to write one letter to two different policymakers, two deans/educational administrators, two administrators of healthcare organizations, two members representing the public/business sector (consumers of healthcare), and two professional nursing organizations. Letter templates can be found below this Advocacy webpage.

Visit the U.S. senate website: Select your state on the map or from the "find my senator" drop down on the top left. Once you have located your senator, you can click on the "contact" tab to locate their address for correspondence.

Visit the U.S. House of Representatives website: Above the red "Find your rep by zip" button, enter your zip code and submit the search. If your zip code overlaps multiple congressional districts, it will ask your address. Once you narrow the results, there will be an envelope icon underneath the representative's picture - click on it. This will provide details to send correspondence.
